How we work

For educators, colleges, associations, careers advisers and journalists: who owns us, what we promise, how we correct errors and how to cite us.

Who owns us

Doctor Pathways Australia. Helping International Medical Graduates find their pathway to practise in Australia.

Doctor Pathways Australia is owned by KXN Ventures. Keck Group, which works with Australian medical practices, is a partner in the KXN Ventures portfolio. Our guides are written independently of it, and no one pays to appear on Doctor Pathways Australia.

Our story is on the About page →

Our commitments

  • Free and neutral. Every guide is free to read, with no account needed and no ads. Paid tools never change what the guides say.
  • The regulator comes first. Every rule cites the official page it comes from, with its date. We explain; we never replace official guidance. Our guides are general information, not advice.
  • Nothing aimed at your students or members. We never contact your students or members, never use your name or logo, and never imply that you endorse us.
  • Privacy. We record anonymised sessions, with typed inputs masked, to improve the site. Data is never sold and never used to identify anyone. Privacy policy.

Corrections and sources

Found an error? Write to corrections[at]doctorpathways[.]com[.]au. We fix confirmed errors within 5 working days and note the change, with its date, on the page. Please name the guide and, if you can, the official page that shows the right answer.

Every guide shows a “Last reviewed” date under its title. See all official sources →

What we do and don’t do

We do

  • Explain every registration pathway step by step, from registration to starting practice. Read the guides
  • Link every rule to the regulator’s own page, with its date. Official sources
  • Offer a free eligibility quiz and checklist.

We don’t

  • Make registration decisions. Ahpra and the Medical Board do.
  • Give visa, migration or legal advice.
  • Submit applications for anyone.
  • List jobs or place doctors.

For educators and associations

If you list outside resources for your students or members, this is the link text we suggest:

Doctor Pathways Australia — an independent, sourced guide to Australian medical registration

Link to this page, to the guides, or to any single guide.

Want the Pathway Finder on your own page? Add the Pathway Finder to your site. It runs no scripts and collects nothing that identifies a reader; there is a one-page security sheet for your IT team.
