The split arrangement model
Earn and train simultaneously — metro income + rural fellowship
Site A — Metro (MM1)
After-hours practice via 19AB exemption. Evenings, weekends, public holidays. Income only — does not count toward fellowship training.
Site B — Rural (DPA)
Daytime training at approved DPA practice. Part-time minimum 14.5 hours/week over at least two days. Counts toward GP fellowship training requirements.
Requirements: Separate 19AB arrangements at each location. Must meet RACGP minimum program time at the training practice (part-time: 14.5 hrs/week over at least 2 days, 10.5 face-to-face). After-hours work at metro site is income — not training credit.
